The amount of hours I spent playing it though, I reckon I got my money's worth.

And with the GOTY edition which I'm buying for the DLC, tack on another $49.99.
... I only spent about $80 on System Shock 2.

Didn't realize about the tax. That explains a little bit. Guess otherwise it's just price gouging.
And yeah, of course you can get things used/cheap, but even that seems more expensive than here, where it's not uncommon for me to pick up a game for $5.50 (including tax!).
