I got the inspiration to do this thread from the many Half-Life 2 videos I watch, thinking I was the only one to throw that can at the Combine at the beginning then finding out that everybody does it when playing Half-Life.
So, simply, when playing through Thief, are there pointless/funny things you do in the game to see what happens, thinking that you're only person that does this? And maybe possibly finding out other people do it as well (thanks to this thread, hopefully).
I'll start off:
I aim the bow and arrow at the peasant walking past at the beginning of Bafford's.

I didn't tried that man... how dare you, what a poor servant! But I did simply shoot at him :joke:
I released the zombie from one of the crypts on the cemetery at the OM "Ambush!"... with unpleasant consequences... :ebil: :cheeky:

I enjoy having duels with Hammerites, i always provoke eveyone i come across in TG, also in DS i think it's hilarious to trip the guards over with the oil flask at the docks and watch them get up then fall into the water :D :ebil:

I can't think of anything pointless...but unusual, yes.
Occasionally I'll toss a crate up onto a wall, or ledge, so it's as close to flush with the edge as possible, or with a slight overhang. Then I'll fire a rope arrow into the facing side, near the top of it, and climb up. I first did this in Shipping...and Receiving when playing Thief for the first time, and again in Ambush!, to get up onto a balcony of a small home, using the crates sitting on the porch below.

Well, i've thrown boxes at guards chasing me... xD
Also, i liked to shoot a water arrow at a guards face and his 0 reaction to such outrageous move. :D
Oh, also i just injured myself in Ramirez's Revenge by Bunny hopping too fastly and hitting agains't a wall. xD

I wonder if they wake up in prison too.

I used to knock out every single person in Bafford's manor and place their unconscious bodies in the throne room, just relishing the thought of old Baffy's face when he comes back and sees it all.

Heh, I've always had the feeling I'm the only one to do this (and probably am):
In TDS, I go out of my way to wage psychological warfare on the guards in the city sections. I will constantly spook them, wait for them to calm down and think it was nothing, then spook them again, over and over. Eventually I let them see me, leading them on a merry chase to somewhere they can't reach me, then throwing boxes, cheeses, bottles, and anything else within reach at them while they futiley stomp in rage. I usually choose a particular spot carefully, and stockpile it with tons of throwables beforehand too. The inn in stonemarket is a particular favorite of mine, as I can hide behind the bar and throw things up at the guards on the balconies for 10-20 minutes getting them to come down and see what the racket is, while I'm hiding, then throwing things at them when they "guess it was nothin" and go to head back upstairs.
I also (probably more common) like to set up infighting between various enemies. Like letting loose a zombie, and then leading a guard to where it is roaming around, and hiding while the zombie and guard fight (or the guard runs, and the zombie chases).

I know it's not Thief related, but in Invisible War, whenever there was a small bar or desk which a character was confined to standing behind, I'd fill it up with any crap I could get my hands on and watch them wade around miserably in a sea random objects.
