Sounds more like you're playing Thief: The Rambo Elephant Project :p

I have this habit of always closing a door behind me in Thief(I can't stand it if I leave a door open) but I think there is a reason behind it(guards notice that kind of thing.
And I always scroll the inventory to none after using it jsut because I don't want to accidentally use something.

Same here, except on both, except i scroll to compass, cause it's even cooler.
Also, i try to lock every door behind me too, unless i move around it too much that it gets annoying. I still try to close it in the end anyway.

In Eavesdropping I KO all the Mechanists and stash them in the secret pit underneath where the Servants are made. Once you close it again there's no way of opening it from the inside AFAIK, so they're imprisoned there. I really hate those guys.

This.
Also, I haven't seen anyone mention the cowardly technique of making a mad dash through the entire map, gathering a snake of guards until you're pretty sure you've got all of them chasing you, at which point you drop a single flash bomb and just calmly waltz through the blinded group and blackjack them all. From the front, no less.

Maybe because it was never thought of before?:o I certainly never thought of it.:laff:

I usually do this due to most missions only having 2 or 3 flashbombs available - it really seems to maximize the value of them :laff:
You have to be quick after the flashbomb hits though - I usually can hit five or six before the FB wears off.

Wow, that is genius! Never thought of it before i think. Maybe because i like to do things with slight taste of realism in them. Maybe i'm just making excuses for my stupidity.
Can't think of any more pointless things at the moment. :( :tsktsk:

Wow, with all the crazy exploits you guys have thought of (Keyholing? Elevatoring? Box-on-ledge+rope arrow trick?) I'm surprised noone recognizes this... I always thought it was right under everyone's nose...
But anyways, I don't really do it at all. I have completed both T1 and T2 with near-perfect stats for both spotted-ness (none), damage dealt (zero on all maps possible) and loot (damned close to 100% on every map), so this trick isn't really my style. But every once in a while I just need to vent a little. I could just take them all out with the sword, but this is more satisfying.

Can you shoot rope arrows into (movable) crates? I've heard of that one before but it didn't work in both TDP and TMA.
