This poll is to find out what factions and AI fans would like to see in Thief 4.

Bring back the prostitutes to keep Benny warm and corrupt the City Watch.

But seriously, pirates and smugglers. More almost-likable rogues, instead of the thugs I just wanna kill and have no redeeming value.

City Administrators, the City Council, the Baron, The City Guard (not just the City Watch)

Merchants from other cities and lands. River merchants, fishermen. A guy in a boat at night on the ocean with a lamp hung out over the water for night-fishing.

Governor Horridge, and I'd like to know what he governs?

Archeologists.

Messengers.

Street urchins.

Newsboys, and as Digi has postulated, where are the printing presses and paper-makers?

Farmers, since the Pagans don't seem to be wanted in The City, and I don't know how they would sell The City enough produce and grains with that stigma, and we've never seen Pagans with acreage or hectares of wide open land growing crops and grain.

Wine-makers, and breweries... DRUNK GUARDS (HIC!)

Yeah, actually having a thriving marketplace with vendors etc would be pretty cool. Picking up the newspaper to hear about exploits you or others have pulled off in the City would also be a nice worldbuilding touch.

Of course, you'd have to take into consideration your wanted level and density of patrols, as well as any other enemies you might have made when stepping out into the open.

On an unrelated note, I imagine what it would be like if Garrett was ever forced out into the daylight.
