The blackjack is obvious, but I cannot live without my beloved moss arrows. :)

I'd like to see more flexible weapons which you can construct yourself.
Let's say you find a gas-crystal, you can then chose to attach it to a mine, a bomb or a broadhead. Some combinations probably wont be very usefull (moss-mine for example) but a flash-arrow or holy-water-mine would be.
Bow choice
longbow: loud and visible but long range and powerfull
small crossbow: stealthy, but shortrange and low power
shortbow: somewhere in between.
Meleeweapon choice
Dagger: stealthy backstabs, low visibility, useless against Haunts etc
Sword: louder backstabs, medium visibility, but effective against haunts etc
Hammer: loud zombie-killer, slows you down.

I never used noisemaker arrows: when would you ever intentionally alert the guards to something if you weren't going to kill them? Never made sense to me. I like all the conventional arrows, and prefer the sword. Made it feel more medieval.

Oh! Well then...as was actually demonstrated in TDS, you use noisemaker arrows to make guards leave their posts or their patrol routes to investigate the sound, so you can get past them easily.
But you could do that with broadheads on stone or metal surfaces, too.

Or you use them to draw several enemies close together, then take them all out with a single gas arrow. :ebil:

Yea, I mean, I understand the concept behind Noisemakers, I just don't use them because it's not my style. They seem so un-Thief. /shrug

I've always thought a crossbow would be good in Thief. It seems like a much more stealthy weapon.

Garrett definitely needs all of the accessories he had in TDP & TMA. I see no reason to include scouting orbs (or those Godawful climbing gloves), though.
For some reason, crossbows would seem too much like cheating to me. Kind of like including guns, which are taboo in my Thief world.

I concur. His bow Garrett's weapon.
