Hey! Could we maybe see ex-Keepers--at least some of whom, as we know, were brought up from child to adult--who are now very vulnerable, using bows and swords with proficiency, as a tie-in to Garrett's training?

I've always preferred to use something locally available to distract the guards. A noisemaker just isn't the same thing as a simple thrown vase or bottle. Does the job just as well.

The emasculator makes me wince just by looking at it :erm:
I actually don't think that the sword is a "must have" weapon. Think about it - being a thief with a long sword on your body would be cumbersome. And the whole point enemy interaction in Thief is to
avoid them. When you whip out a sword and start dueling, you cross over to melee fighting.

A small machete instead of a sword, but not to replace the dagger, so he can hack at boarded up entrances again.:p

Imagine all the possibilities with the Blackjack. Imagine hitting a guard in the backs of the knees from within the shadows and knocking them down granting you the ability to make a run from it. Say if there's a small guarded corridor or a guard is searching for you and you cannot do anything about it.
And it'd just be plain fun :ebil:
