Please do, I'd love to see that!
Ditto. And if you've got the time, try out The Dark Mod, too.

This upcoming trip of Mexico is as good an opportunity as any to bring over my 3DS XL and thin out the unfinished library some more.
Games that I'm taking so far:
* Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
* Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.
* Super Mario 64 DS (want to do a 100% run and the joystick makes it SOOOO much easier to control).
* The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (finished it only ever once in the original N64, time to repay a proper visit, no?).
Good stuff, good stuff. :3

Wait, the game can be played with the 3DS joystick rather than the touchscreen? If I knew that, I forgot.

My sister got me the new 3DS Zelda for my birthday, and it's rad so far. I imagined it would feel too much like a rehash since it uses the world from Link to the Past, but it's making me all nostalgic, and I suspect there'll end up being more to it later on. That and the redone music is wonderful.

If so, it'll be digital. The 3DS joystick just emulates the DS DPad for regular DS games. It can still be more comfortable for some games (e.g. Okamiden)

I haven't touched it in years and years, but I could've sworn that the d-pad on Mario64 DS just mirrored the face buttons, with movement controlled entirely by the touch screen.

I think it emulates just a proper joystick since you can control speed with it at varying levels, like in the original N64 game. :)
Just my 2 cents.

It certainly CAN for 3DS games. But unless Nintendo pre-baked special functionality JUST for that one game, it just mirrors the DPAD when playing regular DS games.

Well, on this case it simulates more the N64 joystick's functionality. The d-pad for Mario DS was only -one- speed and you needed to press on another button to give it -another- speed. That was it. :'(

So this is, errr, weird. Interesting but I seriously doubt it'll take off.
