I'd like to see a new engine for HL3/Ep3, because the Source engine is definitely showing its age and a newer one would open many more possibilities for modding.

It appears that Valve might be trolling its fans again (i.e. the ones expecting the ARG to be about HL2 Ep.3/HL3). Stuff from the potato sack ARG suggests that the Portal 2 release date is being moved up to April 15th.

If this is the case, it will be like Valve's E3 2010 "megaton announcement" all over again. People got their hopes up that it was about Ep.3/HL3, in the end it was just the anticlimactic reveal of Portal 2 and Steamworks heading to PS3.

I guessed you almost missed the boat. Missed the lead up to it anyway. I understand the concept was hard for some of you to follow but it's almost over now so just sit back, eh.

O yes, it was so obvious they would find a way to reward the potato sack developers for participating in the ARG. Typical Valve.

Saw the title and thought Thi4f ( pronounced 'Thourf') had a release date.
No, it's just massively multiplayer advertising instead.
Poo.

This is quite... ingenious, actually. Marketing and advertising devilishness, yes... but a really clever one.

I haven't ordered Portal 2 but I'm gonna go ahead and play that Amnesia potatolevel right now anyway, just to BOOST DA POWER.

I fail to see what is clever about a blatantly obvious marketing scheme...

Point me to the nearest another "blatantly obvious marketing scheme" in the world of vidyagames, would you kindly.
