Those are simply nods to the games that influenced them. An easter egg isn't fucking spelled out in an 'achievement', able to be damn-near tripped over, or just flat out obvious. You have to hunt for it. Hence the whole name Easter Egg. You know as in an Easter Egg hunt?!

Well, you do have to hunt for the messages in Portal. Granted, it's a lot easier than finding easter eggs in other games, but no one said easter egg hunts have to be hard. Besides, it wasn't about the hunt as much as it was about people finding the information and working with it.

It's just my opinion that they are spoilers, since they're little gems the respective dev teams left to be found. I was never told about them and was quite delighted when I found them with no previous knowledge. But, of course, your opinion may vary.

Oh, man -
So despite having complete Portal twice, Steam (for whatever reason) never recorded these as achievements - meaning to do the whole radio gig I have to replay it first. Cruel world.
