Possible hidden quest, and a note about Kurshok Tapestry. - by 242

What kind of a bottle Widow Moira leaves at Garret's building if you don't steal the money from her, I mean is it actually a loot or a junk type you can take and then drop?
I ask because I suddenly thought about this note in a house of South Quarter can be a hint about hidden quest:
"Still no jobs to be found. I might have to pawn more stuff. Somebody was in here yesterday when I was out looking for work. I bet they was up to no good. I just wish they had left behind something good to drink. Ain’t nothin’ ever goes my way."
-----
The other question is, did anybody find this note in The Sunken Citadel mission, it's a hint about a psecial loot - Kurshok Tapestry:
"Monday
\nThis is my first expedition into this citadel, but hopefully not my last. There is little here, though some might see value. In a hallway leading up and up, I saw a gold-woven tapestry, the scene perhaps part of their history or mythology - difficult to tell. Books they can no longer read, or so it seems, as they are strewn about and left to decay. But there are still secrets that these Kurshok keep, that we will discover.\n
\nTuesday
\nWe are no further along than we were yesterday. Neville has tried to communicate, but has only a wound to his leg to show for his efforts. I believe we must go back, get supplies and reinforcements to suit the task, and come back refreshed. The council will surely agree and wish to retrieve the glyph key quickly. We will return soon"
And if it exist in the game, where it is ?

The tapestry can be found in the staircase leading to the upper part of the throne room. Follow that Kurshok who patrols the area through the tiny side-rooms, and look at the walls. It's behind some annoying junk containers who enjoy blocking your path.
(Or just get rid of the Kurshok on patrol, first. It's up to you. ;) )
The wine... she actually is supposed to send you a bottle of wine if you don't steal the money? I never found a valuable bottle of anything, but I also only once did not steal her money.
... and I am even too blind to find the note that she supposedly leaves near to the building. The one with the instructions for Curtis.

It's mostly blue and yellow, showing a Kurshok upside down and falling from what appears to be beams of light.

If I'm not mistaken, that tapestry is depicting the Kurshok leader's defense of the Crown, and the creation of the Jacknal's Paw from his severed hand as a sort of substitute artifact for the Pagans.

As far as I've seen, the gift bottle sent by the widow is something that's been repeated several times on this board but I've never seen it substantiated. I think it somehow got confused with the wine bottle that you can give her in the mission and which triggers her thank you speech in the game.
In any event, I've tested different combinations of actions and have never found that giving her the wine makes any difference later in the game. The only difference I've found is that stealing the large cache of money in the hidden basement area triggers Curtis' appearance outside your apartment building later. Whether or not you steal the final loot bag, the widow's note ordering your death still appears on the bench in the covered area near the apartment's front door.

How strange!
Apparently, working without pay provides Curtis with greater motivation for recovering his employer's large cache of stolen money. Take that as you will.

Well, perhaps I wasn't clear enough.
I found the Tapestry, what I wanted to know was whereabouts of the note about tapestry. I asked because I had played through that mission three times, and quite meticulously, but didn't find it in-game.
About the bottle. I thought that maybe this passage: "I just wish they had left behind something good to drink" in the note I found in South Quarter and cited above was actually a hint. If the bottle that Widow sends to Garrett (and IF she sends it, I don't know for sure) is a junk object, not loot, you could try to bring it to the peasant's house and maybe there would be some bonus after that.. I'm talking about CITY here, not mission.
PS: As for the bottle _in the mission_, AFAIK if you take widow's money AND bring her wine, she won't send the thug after you. A little expiation :)

Nope, I explicitly tested that and Curtis comes to your home if the steal the money bag even if you give the widow the wine and get her thank you speech.

There seems to be a random factor involved. I stole the bag with money twice, and also gave her twice the wine.
First result: Really nothing happened. No Curtis, no wine of the widow in the apartment, and I did not find the note.
Second result: Curtis appeared, and I did not find the note.
The only difference was that I brought her the wine before she had even asked me to fetch it, though I waited until I had the note in my goals until I dropped it onto the table. It floated above the table, then, but she gave me the little speech.
(The fact that I never found the note is probably because I simply do not know where it is supposed to appear... and searching the city levels thoroughly every day is a bit... boring.)

It's right on one of the the benches to the right of Garrett's appartment (while facing the building itself). Just in a covered public area for sitting. To the left would be the fountain.
