As the title reads, is it possible to snap objects to grid, or is this not recommended for some reason?
This would be ideal to place doors. Now I have to type in the coordinates to make them fit perfectly every time.
Thanks in advance

No, objects won't snap to the grid.

Sadly not yes. What you can do is that you create it in the center of a brush ctrl+ins (?) sth like that.

Ctrl + ins?? How would that work?

Object hierarchy, select object, press Create, then leave, select a terrain brush, and press Ctrl Ins.
I didn't know about that possibility, so thanks for pointing it out Daraan, but please lay off the use of "sth".

Object hierarchy, select object, press Create, then leave, select a terrain brush, and press Ctrl Ins.
If the object has already been created, one can use cam_to_brush and brush_to_cam (check the info string for more information).

It's an abbreviation; get over it. Probably not too uncommon in pocket-sized dictionaries or in people who value their time -- or their space. Not that I endorse/recommend/encourage the use of abbrvtns when cmnctng with other hoomans, but meh.
