Same issue:
- replaced NVScript.osm
- selected coin in inventory
- frobbed metal plate with it
- got transparent beer from bartender
... and that's it: no objective ticked.
(using GOG's version of T2).

Platz, if you have Dromed installed, click on Open in Dromed in Darkloader (or open it manually if you know how). This would be miss18.mis if you do it manually. Report the message in the monolog about NVScript loading successfully, or not. I suspect it isn't being loaded on your PC. If you don't have Dromed installed, don't worry about it.

Um... I hate to sound stupid here, but how do I get past the first guard in Mission 2? As soon as I unlock the gate to my cell, he goes bat-shit crazy, swiping his sword at rats! I can't sneak past him... he sees me hiding in the dark and then goes crazy on me.
I have tried making a run for it... which ended in my very quick death. Help?

Wait until he's at the end of the hall near the exit. Then run into the cell next to yours. Repeat. After you snag the key from his belt you don't want to be close to the bars or he will attack you. So, move back until he gets away and becomes occupied with the rats.

Thanks for the help! It's still incredibly difficult for me, but I have made it past that guard and found a dark place to hide while I contemplate my next move.
I also discovered that if I wait long enough, the guard will exit the room entirely, and go looking for help. None of the other guards seem to be alerted (lol), but it gives me a chance to make a run for it. :sweat:

I am getting so frustrated with mission 2.
I only found part of the lockpicks, I still haven't found the armory because I can't move anywhere without the guards coming up on me. They're everywhere.
I can't find any place to use the rope arrows.
I have no idea where NW is because I'm lost without my compass.
