* The moon is to your west. (Almost)
* The armoury is NW of the prison, right next to it. If you find the little house where you were arrested, go east. You'll see an apebeast by a burning barrel. That's the armoury, near him. You'll see a red light and a lockbox, which controls a ladder that will allow you to get up the roof of the armoury.
* One lockpick is on a desk inside the armoury. The other one is upstairs, in the little house where you got arrested. Obviously, you'll need that to pick the lockbox that controls the ladder.
* You'll also find the compass in the armoury.
