Up about 1000 hrs. Had a smoke and a few cups of coffee. Then I took the truck in for an oil change. While it was on the rack we noticed that the Tie rod was coming off the pinions.
Replaced that and the damper then took it to the tire shop. The loose tie rod had worn the fronts to the cord. Outlay about $550.00 US. Ouch!
Then I came home and watched a couple of movies (DOA a giggle and DOOM which sucked). Loaded the truck for the music gig tonight (1900 to 2300) printed some music and headed out about 1800.
Slow night but I still got paid. When I got home (0030) had a nice steak and french fries -steak cut- and a slab of homemade (yes I also bake) apple pie for dessert.
Then, obviously, I cruised the forums for a bit.
I added a few pages to my story at Eidos

@jimjack: I have cancer deaths on both sides of the family, and all died relatively young. Between 34 and 60 years old. I have been labelled 'High Risk'. I also had to have some benign polyps removed 4 years ago, so that adds to the Dr. watching me a bit closer than the typical 35 year old.
Oh, and yesterday I fucking did something to aggravate my old broken ribs from my boxing days. I can hardly breathe and every so often I make a certain movement that locks me dead in place and sends like what feels like a million Amps of electricity through my ribs. gonna tape 'em back up and hope for the best.
P.S. NEVER break or fracture ribs. They don't heal and will ruin your life.

I was always smart and protected my ribs by leading with my face.
Had my big breakfast with the sauted onions and green peppers, checked on mom and the plug I made for septic cap opening then went to mom-inlaws to unstop commode and play Rummy. Sounds like a crappy start eh? After went to rest home to visit and deliver clean laundry for uncle JL then on to bro-inlaws large home in the works for the as yet unfinished tour. Swung nieces in circles like carnival ride. Went antique browsing with my baby and got a Jack London but still found no astronaut lunchbox from my youth. Thought about a gigantic bed just to feel tiny in it but didn't want to pay that much for anything I can't drive. Played trash talk Uno with and took Nephew to see Insidious. Talked excitedly about the did you see moments after. Very family day and likely another today. \o/

I did practically nothing today! :o Only a short walk after breakfast and another in the afternoon (short because weather is shitty), and the rest of the day I've spent on the couch reading The Strain. And now it's bedtime...
