Since we're an international community, mission authors should use a date format that won't confuse old buggers like me.
For example, Godbreaker shows a release date of 01/26/2017. Since there are only 12 months, we know that '26' refers to the day.
However, Behind Closed Doors-with a release date of 06/02/2017-can be construed as 6 Feb 2017 or June 2 2017. Obviously, June isn't here yet, but in months ahead we won't know when the release date was. This may cause riots and protests. Hospital admissions may increase across the planet, as folks wring their hands and wrestle with this issue.
Well, not really. It's just a suggestion. ;)

Good point - I'll change the subject line.

To me, the MM/DD/YY format is much more confusing. Since we're an international community, the day should go before the month.
JonesCrusher on 10/2/2017 at 12:44
its more logical to have DD/MM/YY
Yandros on 10/2/2017 at 13:13
It's only more logical to non-US folks who grew up with DD/MM! :cheeky:
We can avoid this altogether if we just use the month name instead of number. Then you can post it as 10 Feb 2017 or Feb 10 2017 to suit your own preferences, but nobody is confused. :)

If I change mine to the international way and nicked changes his to the American way, it'll be like the gift of the magi.
I'll just update mine as he has.

Well, Jan 26 2017 and 06 Feb 2017 are both completely unconfusing, so naming the month is better than just numbering it. :D

A fairly good compromise may be to put the year first, when using nothing but numbers? 2017/2/10. I'm also a fan of naming the month, but when numbers are used, the Year/Month/Day seems (at least in my experience) to not confuse anyone.

So you're in favor of system that no one else uses? Makes sense.
