Ok, well i started it again for a 4th time and this time on easy, he still didn't die so i killed him in his cell and then it gave me the new objective. Woo I'm out

If it were me, I'd copy the miss3.mis file off of the disc into my Thief install and let it overwrite. If the miss3.osm was in there, too, I'd copy and write over that one, as well.

Since the official save files are unavailable at the moment, I've uploaded my own personal saves for The Dark Project, Thief Gold and The Metal Age. It's a 16MB Zip file containing saves for those three games. They aren't perfect saves (I didn't get 100% loot on every level), but maybe someone can use them. Each is saved right at the start of each level.
Because Rapidshare is now imposing a 10 download limit on files unless you create an account, I also uploaded them to MegaUpload;
