Preview Edition...WTF???

Okay, so I'm in CompUSA (an evil place), and I notice that the DX Preview Edition is only ten bucks. They assure me it's a complete verison of the game. So I buy it. It's freezing up like nobody's business. I've played through a lot of it anyway, but it's starting to get annoying enough to want to use it as a coaster. What gives? Is this a Preview Edition problem, or do you think it's something else?

most likely a preview edition problem. "full version" just means all the levels are on the cd.
