Welcome :D
I'm not some tech genius, but I don't see how different it could be to install newdark on the steam version of the game. It's not that complicated once you know it. Just ask around for help, or try tafferpatcher.
You should try dromed, newdark made things easier and making your own FM is addictive as hell.

Good to see you bob. IIRC, there's a mission by Monastiri that refers to you. :)

I really wish I could try this [ And any NewDark Mission ] but I'm a bit lost on how to install NewDark for the Steam versions of the Game... :P
Welcome. Have a look at the Thief Series FAQ, there's a section on (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133946#installdigital) Steam installations Once you're sure you've got the game in the right place, you should be able to use (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131106) Tafferpatcher without any problems. After that you'll need to update to the latest NewDark v1.22. Brethren is in the process of writing instructions for doing this manually but basically, all you need to do is download the newest version (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144235) here. There are just 2 files that you'll need: contrib.zip and new_dark.zip. Extract the contents of both to your T2 folder and that should be it. I had a problem with overwriting the original so I extracted the files to my desktop first and then dragged them into my folder.
For most missions, you will need new_mantle enabled and it isn't enabled in the latest version so you will need to do that manually in cam_ext.cfg.
Let us know if you have any problems with all that.
And, Happy Birthday!
