i played this when it came out twice and it was fine ,now when i try to play it on darkloader i get this (

i am not able to play any thief gold on fmsel,due to my copy of thief gold being a copy
anyone know what is wrong in pic?
mission is heart and soul from t1/g contest

This is a common Darkloader issue. It has been mentioned 10[SUP]24[/SUP] times on the forums. The search function is your friend, it will tell you that Darkloader is broken, your Thief installation as well and it's bad for your karma anyway, so get rid of DL. Modern loaders are good, Darkloader old but no gold any more.

Not being able to play TG via FMsel has nothing to do with your TG game being a copy, it's got everything to do with the fact you for years you have only had one copy of each game and you have completely messed up the files by doing things to your folders you have been told not to do, like placing dml's in your main thief folder.
You NEED to buy a fresh copy of both T2 and TG, either from Steam or from GoG, you can then download a fresh copy (at least from GoG you can) when you next mess up your Thief folders.
If you can afford to buy a brand new monitor in time for the T1 contest missions then you can afford $5 per game.
Then only use FMsel or an equivalent loader and you be absolutely fine.....so long as you leave your files alone.

Since you love Darkloader, I would suggest NewDarkLoader instead of FMSel, it should be more familiar and intuitive for you to make the adjustment.

also i never touch my files
only thing i ever change is the 1 or 2 in darkloader ini if it comes up the wrong way
since newdarkloader forces you to do so many step i don't feel comfortable doing it
i did dump darkloader since its broken
i just got to wait for a working fan mission loader that installs itself and has a desktop icon
hope by getting rid of darkloader i can run more missions on fmsel as that is all i got now to run missions
i just found something out,my thief 2 fmsel 1.25 is a older version then the thief gold fmsel 1.26 ,so i placed the thief 1/g fmself on desk top i will test it,but i get this when i load the tg version (

well good news i figured it out i fixed the thief gold fmsel to run all thief gold and thief 1 missions perfect and my thief 2 fmsel runs thief 2 perfect
i just re-pathed the fmsels to the fan mission folder i made and all is good,glad the fmsels for each game can run the missions properly
playing heart and soul again :) for thief g

I've lost count of how many times has this been explained to you, but here we go, one more:
1) install TG and T2
2) patch with TFix and T2Fix
3) use the FMsel shortcuts to play TG fan missions with your TG install, and T2 fan missions with your T2 install
my grandma wouldn't be able to mess this up, and she's been dead for a while now, mind you.
//I shudder to think what you have done to your games to make them "work".

i did exactly that but one difference i use thief gold fmsel1.26 for thief 1/g fan missions and thief 2 fmsel 1.25 for thief 2 fan missions

that is technically impossible if you have used the latest patchers, unless you are manually keeping multiple renamed thief executables in the game folder(s).

voodoo i got no idea what you even talking about,way above my level of tech on comps,but i got everything working,i guess you missed my post above yours saying i am doing what you put,i just listed version of each fmsel and where they from
and quoting zylon is like posting wiki,i had to recently change healing fruit and remove the plum,as its not cannon,so if i can fix wiki we all doomed
and since i found out darkloader is broke,removing that probably fix something
