I have a new computer and I tried installing thief on it everything was okay, I installed texture fix for v1.33 so will work on winxp but unlike my other comp which was also winxp, whenever i start a level, it says thief has encountered an error and must shut down or w/e.... i never had this problem...Edit: I noticed that if I start a level with hardware off, then turn it on and set my res in-game, it works but not if I start a level when i come through menu.... anyone have any idea why??? I have Geforce 6600 w/ latest drivers(also no probs runnin thief 2)

sry for double post but would it have anything 2 do with norton being active while i installed it? i dont get this... someone has to have an idea..

I have looked at the faqs extensively, i can't find my problem anywhere, I've done the same thing i've done on every other computer I've played the 2 original thief games on, thief 2 works decent so anyone more technical than me have any idea?

some one suggested to me to install dark loader and run thief 1 thought that - (

hey thanks for that ill try it... if it doesnt work...hmm its weird maybe ill take my old comp that has no vid card, get vid card thats rather cheap,maybe install windows 98 and have nothin on hard drive but thief thief thief and fan missions(and thief 2 and more fan missions!!)!:D

Does anyone else have any idea?? In order to play, everytime i start up thief, i have to turn off hardware mode, start level, then when I'm in turn it back on.... if i just start it up with hardware on, it crashes...
