The key should be in the Novices' quarters, on a table or desk. It's close to a room where a novice is sleeping. The quarters should be easy to locate; I think there are plaques or stone slabs with the writing "Novices' Quarters" in the archways leading to the quarters.

To add to baeuchlein's reply: check behind beds.

Sorry to derail the thread, but I've always wondered Gloria - Where does your signature quote (both go to heaven .........) come from? It's very unique :p

OK. I love pictures of angels. My living room is filled with some pictures of great painters like Bouguereau and more. I have lived a life with a lot of sorrow and grief, but this Thief family kept me going. I'm a Thief player from 1998 when the first mission came out. I still am playing Fan missions every evening/night and I like to betatest for the authors. I did a lot of them already, not as a bulder of FM's, but as a player. I also wrote a gameplay for The Gost Hospital and would love to do more of this. I'm a bit of a high sensitive person, so I dream a lot and in my dreams I "see" a lot of Thieflike stuff I can relate to. That's it in a nutshell. In real life I really won't kill even a fly, but in a Thiefplay .... just watch me hehehe. So I think I'm angelic and I play Thief, others don't .... I don't know if there is a Heaven so I'm daring others to play the Thief game.

I did find a key behind the bed, but it doesn't work on the Priest's room??? I'm quite lost now, don't know where to go with this key. :eww:

The key found behind the bed will not open any priest's door. It is for an entirely different purpose. With it, you gain access to the vault, although not directly. You might have found a vague hint in the city, hinting at a key in the Novices' quarters. The key is then needed in the city, close to where that hint is. With the key, you gain access to a strange riddle which tells you the combination for the vault.
But I am very certain that the key you need is located on a table in the Novices' quarters. It might be in a room with two exits to the corridor which is patrolled by a Hammerite, but my memory is vague on that.

I'll go and check. Thanks.

I checked and it isn't there. Any suggestions?
