I wanted to use some new container models like the ancient chest LostCity-style by Eshaktaar and Targa's gold chest. They open too quickly, and it looks fake. I tried copying the settings for the Hope chest model, which opens nicely, but it made no difference in how quickly the lids of these newer chests open. I tried using the original hope chest model, and just substituting the shape, but still no go. Is there a way to tweak that setting, or is the problem in the actual 3D model?

Properties -> Tweq -> Joints
switch the rate to smaller number.
I can't guarantee it to work on custom models as i've never tried with those.
i guess the speed of the lid of VicHopeChest is originaly same speed as normal footlockers lid, which was 30 if i remember right.

Hi gigagooga
Your TTLG name should come with seizure warnings! I felt dizzy trying to make sure I got the spelling right. :joke:
Thanks for responding. The rate for both chests is the same. And I played around with the rate, but didn't think going with smaller numbers would make it open more slowly. I'll try that and post the results here.

Tried playing around with rates again, both lower and higher, also adding and removing sim property, nothing changed. I don't really have a clear understanding of how joints work. I also tried playing with some other properties, in the way of brainless-storming, and nothing has worked so far. But thanks for trying.

Try this: create a MoneyBox (-4704) and change it s model name and dimesions to this ancient box. For me worked this way.

The readme for Targa's object says "I tested under LC_Chest, works fine. Don't make it under footlocker unless you want to have to play around with joints."
Could that be the source of the problem?

R Soul: I pulled Targa's chest from another fm, so never got the readme file for it. Would have helped from the git-go.
Gigagooga: I notice you also created your gold chest under the 'Lost City' model. Changing that setting under the footlocker model does nothing.
LC_Chest it is, then, and thank you both!
Update: It seems I actually created the gold chest under "Chest" in the hierarchy, not under "footlocker". Making an LC_Chest and just giving it the model name for the gold chest worked like a charm. So I guess the gold chest and the LC_Chest models have similar joints.
