I've just started playing the The Seventh Crystal. It looks like its going to be amazing...but! I can't get it to work?? I'm playing on expert and its starts up and the camera slowly floats around the level until it stops on a balcony. And thats it, it just stays there nothing else happens?? I left the game running for over 5 minutes, but still nothing happen! I quick saved it and then quick loaded it. Success the camera has now moved to a bridge, but again it reaches the bridge and it just stops and nothings happening again. tried the same trick as b4 but all that happens when it reloads, is the clock bell strikes again. Have I the right version? because I really want to play this great looking mission. I downloaded it from cheap downloads so I should have the right version!
can anyone help me?

Rich, as far as I know it's basically 4 .mis files so 1 thing you might try is the Thief (or Dromed) "cheat" code of pressing "ctrl+Alt+Shift+End" (all at the same time) which is the code to finish the current mission. I'm not sure it will work but, it would "mission completed" the level you're currently in and give you the new mission load up screen of the next .mis level.
P.S. You level looks amazing as well - it should be out soon too, right?
Hope this helps.....

Ok I really wanted to play this mission (been looking forward to it since I first saw it!) So I uninstall T2 and did a fresh install and re-patched the game. Unfortunately this still didn't work <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> . The only way I've managed to get this incredible looking mission to work, is to change the MISSFLAG file to skip mission 17. So now I can play this mission but not from the start?? how big is the first level and what I missed. Anyway apart from the 1st level this mission is beautiful, probably the best looking mission I've played so far, And I'm really enjoying it. I think I may email the author to tell him about my problem to see if he can shed any light on the matter. As it seems most people aren't having this problem!!

What you may want to try is when the level gets hung up in the end of the movie scenes (the bridge scene/avi is right before the main level starts...) just type the "Ctrl+Alt+Shift+End+" keys which will take you from 1 mis file to the next - and the 18 will take quite a while so sit tight...lol
P.s. I just tried the "Ctrl+Shift+Alt+End" cheat and it does work....</font></div></blockquote>

OK Garrettwannabe you're saying that the first mission is just a kind of movie and not palyable at all? If so then thats ok, as I'm currently playing mission 18 with skipping the 1st mission. I find it strange that this isn't happening with everyone though?<br />Anyway thanks for the advice, and yeah my new mission should be out in the next couple of weeks depending on how long this mission takes me of course <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

I had the same problem, and found out its just the unreliable boundstriggers, which work sometimes and not other times. All I did to solve it was to keep "uninstalling" the mission pack and reinstalling it and try again. It eventually worked right, both at the end of the crypt tour and at the bridge. You don't need to actually mess with your whole Thief installation or dromed or darkloader or anything, just the actual FM installation, which you "uninstall" by "install only" the original missions.
Also, I certainly would NOT level skip this part, as you're supposed to witness a very important part of the story - so you really need to get it working.
Also also, Saturning is working on a patch or update to replace the unreliable boundstriggers with something that will always work.

Hi KOMAG I'm currently well into the mission 18 so I don't really want to start all over again any chance of a bit of a spoiler on what happens in the 1st mission??
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the zip file serveral time but this also didn't work either. Oh well its just one of those things. Anyone whos ever used Dromed will know this all too well <img src="frown.gif" border="0">
BTW I liked your 64 mission made my LOL <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> the second time I went down I died and my corpse carried on around LOL. Excellant!!

A patch appeared at my FTP site today. I posted it and an updated copy of the mission file on my web site.

Conversation from bridge scene, not exact quotes but <br />close enough:
<br /><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">Spoiler:</font><div style="background-color:#000080"><font color="#202080">Cutty can't make the appointment so Garrett takes his place and meets with the woman who wants the crystal\saphire. She tells him that he will be paid handsomely... 5000 bucks now and 5000 later at midnight when he returns to the bridge with the saphire.
She has been invited to the party and will leave Garrett a Map (which she will draw while she is there, the map won't be complete cos she is limited to only where the guest can go)and his payment.
She has been there once before so she knows there is a Conservatory by the East Gate, there are 3 Statues there also and she will hide it behind the statues, in the Conservatory by the East Gate.</font></div></blockquote>
