I want to play a T1 FM, so I reinstalled T1 - but nothing is showing up. I get the load screens and the movies and sound, but when I start the game, I get a black screen with only the light gem showing. I have searched the FAQ's and the THief forums under "problems T1", and "light gem", but have found no help.
Anyone know what is going on here?:(

I don't have a ready solution, but there's a few points that should be clarified so we can help.
Has this happened when you've tried to play the original game missions, or a fan mission?
If it happens with the original game, have you tried both Start Training and Skip Training to see if it occurs on both the training level and Bafford's manor?
If it's a particular fan mission, which one(s) have you tried, and could you try with several others?

If you have a hyper or multi-threading computer, or dual core, Thief doesn't like it, that's for sure.

Also a good point to start would be to consider driver and hardware changes that were made during the last time it did work and now as possible sources of the problem.
