Try one of my later missions. They warn you and block your way at the beginning if NVScript fails to load.
I was refering to your mission at the start of the thread...:cheeky:
tried with different (and older versions) of the scripts. nada...
allso: the scripts did work... been working on my mission all the time.. using lots of nvscript...

next step...
tried to use unlocker on it.... as mentioned in (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131893&page=2&highlight=nvscript) this thread
unlocker reports that there are no blocking processes on nvscript... but offered to rename it,
so I did rename it to nvscript1...
opened up dromed, loaded nvscript1 ... it is working...:wot: dromed reports "module loaded"
allso in game the scripts are working..
renamed the script-file back to nvscript (with unlocker), fired up my latest save.. working , can allso load the module again.
tried a reboot.. ( did see the 50=50 change mentioned in the thread) still working....
strange becasue I've been renaming the files before... don't know what unlocker does more when renaming...
never the less, dromed ( and the nvscript ) seem to be working \0/ ( for now.....)
thanks for the help and suggestiions :thumb:

Hmmm...my missions use the files NVS.osm and tnhS.osm...I can't see how that renaming could have helped.
By the way, you can always use the ChkMiss utility (icluded in DarkUtils here (
http://whoopdedo.org/projects.php?dark)) to see which scripts you have currently loaded, along with many other useful things.

That honestly sounds far more like coincidence than causation - when it happens again, try doing the exact same renaming thing. If it works, there's something special happening during that process that needs to be carefully examined, if it doesn't then it's coincidence and the problem was actually elsewhere...

I'm a bit afraid for that too...
but untill now.. I've rebooted a few times and everything still works...
I'll keep my fingers crossed, but will surely do the routine again if it happens again and will report back here :)

I never did really look into this, mainly because I don't know where to start as I've never had the problem myself.
Does anyone who can consistently reproduce problems with NVScript feel like acting as a guinea pig?
Basically, I'd try making a bunch of different versions of the module and you'd have to test each to see if any work.
At the very least, I can try making taking most of the scripts out of NVScript to see if that will make it work, and if it does, re-add them slowly to pin-point the cause.

I'll be a guinea pig if I can bring the problem back by turning Defender on again. Back...
... of course now it works fine if I run Defender.

Is the source for NVscript available? I'd be willing to give it a read through, see if I can spot any potential issues.

Eh, no, not really. It should be, but isn't. Because I'm too lazy and haven't been bothered to gather it up and upload it yet.
