Does anyone else have this problem with some T1 FMs, Sometimes the characters are squished up and sometimes door textures are black? Here is a shot of it.

99% broken resources. redownload the FM and extract it manually with 7zip before use.

I too have had exactly this problem. I don't have it with T2 missions, and I never had it with T1 missions prior to New Dark.
What are people saying is the exact problem here?

The engine is unable to access the .cal files, which should be in the mesh.crf. So it sounds like an install configuration issue on T1.

I used TFix to install T1. So what do i do now? Can I copy that mesh.crf file from the original CD and put it somewhere - if so, where? Or do I have to uninstall T1 and start all over again?

that doesn't make any sense. you install the game, patch it up with TFix, done. no idea what would you want to do with mesh.crf. if you want to play FMs, activate FMsel (the batch file is included).

I was responding to Yandros's suggestion as to what causes the problem with AI that vincentlancon has illustrated. Let's try again.
I loaded and patched T1 via TFix. I play FMs via FMsel. But I have the AI problem with some - and only some - AI in T1/TG FMs.
For example, I am currently playing In The Loom Of Doom (TG). The Hammerite guards are fine, but the dead thief (from whom one gets one's BJ etc) and some but only some people in the cells are all scrunched up as in the screenshot.
Can someone offer an explanation please as to what causes this, and how it can be fixed?

just checked the first few holding cells, no problem. make a screenshot and share a save, I will check again, but as mentioned before, these issues are 99% caused by broken FM resources, which usually indicate a corrupted download.

If default (LGS) meshes have this issue, but custom ones do not, it means your original mesh.crf is either corrupt or can't be found. The reason is that meshes that are custom to an FM will have the .cal files in their \mesh folder, but for original meshes those files would be found in the CRF file.
