Thought this looked kind of interesting, kind of a Minecraft meets zombie invasion meets tower defense meets The Sims (?). There's a demo available, haven't tried it yet though.

Oooooh....could have sworn someone at the forums mentioned this game some time ago. Still, it's nice to see it getting it's own thread. Maybe generate some more community interest.
Looks cool and fun, lets see how it develops.
In the meantime....DayZ, anyone?

Oh ya, there was a thread about it a while ago; the game was still in heavy-development-beta - any updates on its state nowadays? Never played it myself but it's one of those games I keep on my radar as a "game-designer-self-education" type things :)

I've actually paid for this and am still awaiting my version of the beta or whatever to play. It's so long ago, I forget what it was I was supposed be getting.

Well, they're still in alpha, but constantly updating and releasing, kind of how Minecraft did it during its development. All the latest updates should be available to you for download if you paid. I don't think they're holding anything back or waiting for one big beta or final release.
I played the demo last night - this game has some nice potential, for both single and multi. I only made it two days on my first try, after scrounging food, bandaging up my wife, and then boarding up the windows and doors, the zombies still came flooding in one night and killed me. Not sure what I did wrong, but I guess figuring that shit out is the point of the game. The isometric view is a bit annoying and I found myself walking into walls often, hopefully they streamline that part a bit.
Cool concept overall though, I'll give the demo a few more shots and keep an eye on this one.

This. I think I need to download the latest build one of these days and actually
play the thing. I'm a bit averse to games without any real long-term overarching goal *cough* Minecraft *cough*. This one seems to be an exception, however, because while the intro text states 'This is how you died', your immediate reaction is to counter it with, 'Oh yeah? Well fuck you, I'm gonna beat your cadaverous ass black and blue first.'
So, basically, it's like an isometric Minecraft on survival with less crafting options and more survival? Did I get that right? Because that sounds kinda cool-ish.

I think at the time I paid, they'd temporarily stopped access to their current build due to some leaks and piracy. I got fed up with waiting and promptly forgot I'd bought the game, until this thread. So thanks for that!
