I just noticed -- in the naval base when you are wandering the corridors, i saw a poster on one of the walls. I recognized this poster because i was doing a project for English about propaganda -- specifically, American propaganda. Anywhoo -- the poster of a navy guy reloading a huge cannon -- accompanied by some slogan that i already forgot -- and "JOIN THE NAVY" is a real piece of propaganda. It may be from WW2 -- but it's real.
Talk about immersive.

"I'm not waiting for the answers on a sunday afternoon. I'm just too drunk too remember why i always slip through. The drugs and fake ambition have been helping me to hide. But it's the endless television that has kept me inside. Where does it stop? Where does it end? Where do we go? Why am i always complaining? I can be good, i can be bad, i can be
loved. But everything's gone black. You're looking for that sun, you're looking for that light. Lonely, you're not the only one to feel this way. Big green monkey, everyone's a junkie."

I wouldn't call that propaganda necessarily. It's just a recruitment ad. They need recruits so they advertise like any business would.

But it's also making the navy guy look all brave and like he's god's warrior by loading the guns. And one of the goals of Propaganda is to encourage participation.

It's an advertisement. Propaganda is meant to get spread an ideology. It's no more propaganda than any other bulletin, poster, or billboard. They all try to make whatever they are selling look good. That's the point. Propaganda is more devious in my opinion than a simple Join the Navy poster.

In day of defeat(a mod for half-life), there are real german propaganda posters on walls.
