and I meant that I'm not sure if fanatic Muslims now are really any worse [in their fanatism] than dark age Christians, but back those days they had to kill, torture and destroy with less effective tools (and had pigeons instead of internet to spread the fanatism). Not to mention in dark ages there were a LOT less people to stir up, now the world is packed with population, of which a big chunk is quite unhappy of their lives.
Or in other words: If the dark ages Christians lived today, my guess is they would very likely be just as bad.
