That was hilarious.

That was complicated

For those still disappointed with the PS3 as a gaming platform, rejoice! According to the outgoing president of Sony Europe, David Reeves, for (
http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/ps3-to-be-dominant-in-3-5-years-says-reeves) Gamesindustry.biz, the Playstation will finally come back into its own and dominate the console market in 3 to 5 years' time. I found this Kotaku comment to be particularly fitting:

I am quite happy with my ps3 but the talking heads of Sony should be dragged into an alley and shot.

I agree with the OP. I mean the PS3 isn't even a next gen console in my books(nothing new on it except the HD support and Blu Ray drive) but it has some games that I really want to play like MGS4 but I think it really is overpriced. It really is like a PS2 with better graphics and blu-ray capabilities. The Wii however actually tried something new which is quite refreshing in the games industry. Don't even get me started on the Xbox, Microsoft should just stop making consoles I think.

It's been current gen for a good while now. Once a console launches, it stops being next gen.

Wow, what a stupid, ignorant comment to make.
For one, both 360 and PS3 have multimedia hub capabilities are far beyond that of the last generation (eg plug and play, streaming of media over a network, DivX playback), especially the PS3 with it's built-in WiFi and running it's I/O devices over Bluetooth rather than a proprietary infrastructure. You can also freely upgrade the PS3's HDD with any old 2.5" SATA drive.
The netplay and community infrastructures are far more advanced than the last gen consoles too. The community and matchmaking models used by Steam and Xfire were innovated by Xbox 360 Live.

You do realise that the Xbox is market leader by a huge margin for the hardcore gaming audience demographic? Again, stop saying stupid shit.
If you're talking about the potential for hardware failure, than that's been heavily reduced in H/W revisions to the Xbox 360. Also the keep in mind the extended 3 year warranty for the most notorious design flaws.

Microsoft is a helluva lot more relevant as a hardware manufacturer than SEGA ever was.

And that makes such a difference /sarcasm. Although netplay is a good idea why in the world are they trying to make the consoles into PCs(if people want a PC they can just buy a PC). It certainly seems to be heading that way.
I think the Sony and Microsoft have just forgotten what makes consoles great. Simply upgrading the graphics each generation and tacking on more fancy hardware isn't enough. They need to actually think of what new and original feature they can do(the Wii with it's motion controls for example). And looking at the sales figures,I'm not surprised that the Wii has sold the most units of the three(despite the majority of games being family games).
Seriously you and deathtoll just make me laugh with your comments.

If you can't even be bothered to spell my name right then I guess I can't be bothered to care about your opinion.
