As much as I like F-Zero, I've always preferred Wipeout for it's demanding narrower track layouts and sleeker styling. F-Zero was all about going really fast and having fun, not the challenge. With Wipeout, if you don't memorize every hairpin turn on every course, you don't have a chance of grabbing a podium finish.
I am a bit surprised over the lack of advertising with the game, too. I'm a huge Wipeout fan here. I was first in line to grab the original 3 back in the day, and even I forgot Sony had a sequel up until I found the demo on the PSN store. It used to be one of the Playstations flagship titles. But now? It's just sitting there. Neglected.
Edit: Top of lucky 13 muhfuggaz. That be the name of my RACIN TEAM!

Are we talking about the same F-Zero here? Multiple 90-degree turns nearly made me tear my hair out.

XGIII & F-Zero GX ftw. Yeah they are tough though. F-Zero GX was actually too hard for me for the most part lol, especially the annoying but strangely entertaining mission mode.

Last generation, the XB1 would have completely lost if not for Halo, and even
that got ported to PC eventually. All the games worth playing for it were either also on PC, PS2, or both. That seems to be more or less of an issue this generation, again depending on what you're looking for.
Protip: Don't make sweeping generalisations.
Xbox had some terrific gems, Gunsmoke can back me up on this.
*
Otogi was a unique, overlooked Extreme Combat game.
*
Jet Set Radio Future - I would play this for hours on end. Addictive gameplay, excellent presentation and a killer soundtrack.
*
Ninja Gaiden had gameplay that was honed to a razor's edge and one of the most gorgeous games on system. This and DMC1 were perhaps two of the only button combo centric game that I sat down and spent hours trying to master. Anyone who writes off a title because the game designer has a shitty personality is an idiot.
*
Shenmue 2 was amazing. A highly memorable experience, an engrossing story with endearing characters, a charming game world that was full of personality. My friend and I still mock the hilarious flat English dub to this day.
*
Genma Onimusha just shat all over Warlords, a much more complete package.
Yes, the latter two were enhanced ports, but aside from a limited release of the former in Europe for Dreamcast, Shen2X was the only version with wide distribution in Western territories.
Also the console did serve the fine purpose of catering to PC gamers, such as myself, who were too poor to afford decent machines at the time. Whilst being getting steady stream of PC ported FPSes was lovely, the console was a godsend for fans of Western RPGs that the PC was known for.
Knights of the Old Republic was one of my most played games on the system, one of the most memorable RPGs of the last decade, IMO.
Fable was a rewarding experience for objective people who were able to look past the shitstorm of drama that followed the pre-release hype and actually, ya know, judge the finished product on its own merits.

Sony's upping the ante, apparently, announcing that they're brining stereoscopic 3D capabilities to the PS3 in the following year.

The update will come via a firmware update sometime next year, and will work for, apparently, "all" existing games.
Pretty cool, I've gotta say. I am curious, though, why they're drawing the line as high as 200Hz displays, when nVidia, the
other mainstream supplier of stereo graphics on the market, seems to be content with as "little" as 120Hz.
On a sidenote, this thread seems to have pretty much turned into "the PS3 stuff thread".

200 Hz?! Wow, very few people have those.

And to follow up on what EVA Unit said, other worthwhile Xbox exclusives:
Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Dai Senryaku VII (to this day the only campaign-focused TBS game I've finished)
Panzer Dragoon Orta was pretty awesome, though short
Phantom Dust had a ludicrous story but very interesting gameplay
I'll agree that the Xbox was less than I hoped, but saying that it had NO worthwhile exclusives is just ridiculous.

What about
Breakdown, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Bloodwake, Deathrow, Forza, MechAssault 1 and 2,
Those are just off the top of my head, and they are all excellent.

PS3 Slim sales have gone through the roof in Japan and the UK. PS3 sales are up 1000% in the UK. No actual numbers though.
