Considering that I've only ever played one game on my PS3 (R:FoM), I can't help you there. BUT it will not upscale DVDs if 1080/24fps playback is enabled, at least not when connected to the Samsung 1080p telly that I use.

I'm noticing something interesting with the PS3 and my job; I was at a large Soho post house today fixing one of their Avid DS suites, and I noticed that each suite has a PS3 in it. And it makes sense really; as a blu ray player it's relatively cheap, it's got wireless, so they don't need extra network connections running to the rooms, and at a pinch, it's a very serviceable web browser. Oh, and it plays games too, which gives the editor something to do while waiting for that composite-heavy render to finish :D
Pretty cool!
They're lovely suites as well; really flash and comfy.
Found out while I was there that this was the post house that finished Moon.
Browser is bugged though, it refuses to refresh some sites, they still haven't fixed it.

I'll buy this, but I don't recall either of these games being so much fun as they were admirable.

If they do so, I hope that they up the texture resolutions for ICO. I could imagine that compared to Shadow of the Colossus and to the God of War games, it would suffer from a mere increase in resolution. Shadow of the Colossus, however, would probably look pretty gorgeous even using the same resources, and it would benefit from the higher frame rate.

It's pretty good for news. What do you recommended?
And you can blame predictive text for my spelling mistakes.

Dunno what gunsmoke's talking about, Kotaku is a pretty legit news site.
