God fucking damn it I hate when people pull this shit. If you can't be bothered to post a link when making claims like this don't post at all. Don't be CCChoad, we have enough of those already.

One tiny example:

You know, I was happier before someone told me you could tauntkill someone in TF2 as a scout while the Bonk energy drink was active.

$150 for an open PS3 that'll last until the next monthly firmware update? No thanks.

And regardless CCCasplode, this PS3 story is link worthy, that TF2 tit-bit not so much. Sort it out mate.

Erm... don't update maybe?
Anyway, the fortress fell after many years, and who could thought - a tiny usb stick did it. Maybe convenient to run games entirely from HD considering PS3's BR drives fail quite often.

You'll need a BR drive to rip the discs anyway. Can you imagine downloading 25-40 GB per game right now?

Yes, but it's better than continual use.

PS3 images generally aren't that big at all, only some exclusives.
Anyway, AFAIK, the method doesn't allow to download games and then run them, it allows to run only games backuped on the same console. I may be wrong though.
