Tried out some of the demos on the disc accompanying the starter pack and I'm very impressed with few of them. Ping pong of the Sports Champions was really great, loved it, it was almost like the real thing. The Eye Pet was very impressing and lovely too. And then, there was a very original concept for a puzzle game, the demo was called "chromosomething ii", you create shadows of a mass of chaotic blocks to lead a little figure to exit along a path created of the shadows by the Move, really original concept.
Overall, the Move seems very nice, but I don't think I'll play with it too often, only well suited games. And I don't think RE5 f.e. is one of them.

I'm surprised at how cheap the starter pack is. I might get in on this thing soon, m'self. (Once I lock all the doors and no one's watching, anyway.)
How's the input lag on it?

If there is a lag than it must be not too noticeable, because I didn't notice it.

You're talking about Echochrome 2. Looks inventive. Part 1 is such a simple idea but its very clever.
Whilst I like the idea of the ping pong something about it makes me sad; why aren't people playing real table tennis? Ok, not everyone has the opportunity blah blah but much as I love games virtual stuff of stuff you can easily do just doesn't sit right with me. Where is my 1st person samuri/ninja game?

Hmmm. Interesting turn of events. MAG has dropped in price, got a massive patch (feature rich massive, not size massive) and Move support.
Hmmm.

Just tried some more demos.
LOVED the Tumble - where you build towers from various blocks, the higher the better, and do other manipulations with lots of blocks. Precise movements with thinking. And great design overall.
Loved the Shoot, lots of fun with some nice tricks like ducking or slowtime (instead of spinning 360, I rotated the move above my head :) )
Superstar was impressive too except the first contest.

Thanks for the info! That's the one thing that would have potentially killed my interest. If it's as fast as a normal controller, I see no reason not to take the plunge sooner or later.

It is amusing to see gamers whining because Best Buy is charging $30 to install a freely available PS3 firmware update. News flash, these people aren't a charity. If you waste their time with trivial things that can be accomplished by a novice through reading the directions, better open your wallet and expect to compensate them for their time. We're not talking about patching/recompiling code here. If you can follow a recipe to cook a meal, you can read directions and update your PS3 firmware, or reinstall Windows with the custom disk that came with your PC. (drivers included)
I do have people occasionally ask me for help reinstalling the OS or updating their Ipods and whatnot. I don't charge these people, but I generally enjoy working on these things. I am perfectly within my rights to charge for my time, just as Best Buy is.
Now in the words of Arnold: "Stop whining!"

Bollocks. This service is a sting for those who just aren't in the know. What makes it worse is you can't buy a PS3 WITHOUT that bs "service". Come on guy, don't be dumb.
