The PS3 game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed's demo was released this week and since the videos looked so damn cool, I downloaded it and gave it a try.
In a word: it's awesome.
I'm still not used to the controls but the Force moves and the physics are simply that. Awesome. Starting right in the Force Grip tutorial you can experiment with moves and stuff, and the proper demo level is extremely cool. You can force move TIE fighters and throw them at the baddies! Tell me, just how cool is that?? :D
I am still struggling to finish off the fianl AT-ST, but I'm really not disappointed. I'm buying that one.
What's your experience?

The developers are dicks.

I downloaded the 360 version, 904MB vs. 1300MB? No contest.
Anyway, I found demo to be okay. Bargain bin only game IMO.

Gotta love LucasArts' previous comment that they didn't want to port the game to the PC because that would involve making the graphics scalable; therefore, a bunch of players would loose the "true experience" of the game.

The lift power controls were annoying. One stick for y-axis movement, another for x. It would've been so much easier with mouse look honestly.
EDIT: Oh yeah, QTE boss battles. Super lame.

Agreed wholeheartedly.
I love the older films as much as the next guy, but I'm not a big enough Star Wars fan to get over the games shortcomings. The story/character seem interesting enough and the over the top force powers are awesome, but it just didn't click with me for some reason. Maybe I'm just too used the the Jedi Knight games and wanted this to be something more along those lines.
I will definitely buy Unleashed after a price drop though.

Funny, I liked the demo precisely because it reminded me of the Jedi Knight games.

..Isn't there a wii version?

Indeed, that fact is the proverbial icing on the cake.

While LucasArts is internally developing the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of The Force Unleashed, outside developer Krome was brought on to handle the PlayStation 2, Wii, and PSP versions, with n-Space behind the Nintendo DS iteration. All are slated to arrive on September 16.

I'm only a silver member, looks like I can't have it for a few days.
