Would your religion be called 'Necrophilia' by any chance?

"Hey, this isn't talking, it's just escaping gases."
Wow, that got dark(er) quickly.

I think that public humiliation of such people is probably enough. Maybe a similar list of dodgy characters to the sex offenders register. Come to think of it he'd probably be put on that list.
I don't really want to pay tax to keep him locked up. He may have taken advantage of those women, but I am struggling to have a great deal of sympathy with them. I'd probably say they shouldn't have been so stupid.

Agreed. Whenever you agree to do something that society finds morally offensive in exchange for occult power it never ends well. Either you wind up losing whatever you traded your soul for, or you get possessed, or the entity making the deal takes advantage of your poor wording.......
Point is, don't do it, that's just stupid. If damaging his soul in exchange for magical power didn't save Tom Riddle in the end, it sure as hell isn't going to help you.

Well he was 'facing jail' before but now he is actually going to jail, for (
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-east-wales-18930039) 2 years. And he's also banned 'from practising as a medium, clairvoyant, spiritualist or healer for 10 years.' Not sure how many clients he would have had though.

I can't say I'm that satisfied with jail - I'd rather have given him a huge fine, that way he could pay for his mistake rather than us paying to look after him in a prison for 2 years...

I agree entirely. Much better to have had an enormous fine with lots of community service. But then I don't always understand why people get jail sentences instead of fines etc.
