I don't think it's dull at all. It raises a lot of questions about privacy vs consequences, and the propriety of digging up and posting the personal information of minors.
Azaran, of course, doesn't seem to care at all about that and is doing his usual high school counterculture thing by acting like this is a great idea that will fix all our problems with racism.

The other issue is that people are as (or more) likely to get hurt by what these people are writing on their blogs, than these racists are for being exposed. Inciting racial hatred can encourage racists to go out and act on it, and it has countless times in the past.

I severely doubt that some idiot teenager blogging about hating black people will in some indirect way lead to an old fashioned lynching.
These people do need to be called out on their beliefs, just not by mouth breathing social justice misinterpreting zealots getting their oh-so-fashionably-white-guilt kicks by posting their name, address, and phone numbers on Reddit.
Do you think even those behind roughly 75% of the anti-racism blogs on Reddit care at all about racial inequality in America? Of course not. Actually doing something about it would require too much work. They'd rather post about how not racist they are to get page hits from all the other doe-eyed mouth breathing redditors.
Oh, look at you. Aren't you just so progressive calling out that ignorant 16 year old like that.

While I agree with the notion that this contributes to a cultural underpinning of racism, I think you're vastly overstating the overall impact, or the level of actual malice. These kids ain't motherfucking Clarence Brandenburg or Don Black. They're just dumbass, ignorant teenagers who can't even vote. Like you once were (or still are, I can't tell.) Like I certainly was once.
Ruining a 14 year old's chances of getting a job in the future because of an ill-thought-out tweet because he was trying to be edgy (or parroting his parents who really should know better) is not constructive. You're doing more harm than good posting private individuals' addresses and whatnot -- and really, you could argue that doxing someone is A) a violation of privacy and B) not protected speech because posting addresses and names could itself be considered an incitement to violence. I fully support digging up and posting offensive quotes from public figures like politicians and celebrities, as they do not have the same reasonable expectation of privacy as the rest of us. I mean, I kind of don't really
want to know about the awful things Dave Mustaine said, but the world deserves to hear it. But private citizens? Shit like this is why journalists don't release the names of rape victims, juvenile offenders and suspects who have not been charged yet. So really, what's the benefit of posting these kids' full names and addresses? Who does that benefit? You're not making the world any better. Racism isn't going to go away. You're not teaching these people anything, they're not going to come away from this contrite and suddenly changing their ways. You're not fixing anything, so why do it? The need to feel good about yourself? Congratulations, you chose to ruin someone's life instead of educating them on why the shit they said was horrible and offensive. You're a real fucking hero.

Case in point: If you search these very forums you'll find a post by me that says simply: "Because we hate niggers."
It was a retort to an new member who was trying to make the case that TTLG was racist because we didn't have a significant number of black people. I was getting tired of his bullshit and just went way over the top. He left, problem solved. I would never use that word in RL, in fact just kicked a guest out of my house last week for using it after Obama won the election. But if that post were simply put out there to prove my racism, any explanation or defense would sound ridiculous to anyone who didn't understand the culture of TTLG. Most of the people on that blog are clearly not being taken out of context - and the blogger is including a fair amount of context. Not sure how I feel about it...

The crazy thing is you can't even use the word nigger without potentially being accused of being racist.
It's like that Curb Your Enthusiasm episode where he's overheard telling someone else about a guy who was calling the doctor a nigger.
I refuse to say "He called that guy the N-word" on principle and I'll argue the toss with anyone who challenges me on it. It's some messed up restriction of freedom of speech, I'm not a racist and have usually experienced more racism than the idiots who try to call me out on using the word.
Context is important and it extends beyond the use of racist words to make a point a la fett.

The fact that you typed "an new member" was more offensive to me than the word nigger.

It's really hard to edit ttlg on my android. :p
