I mean you no harm, but if I hear this one more time I will cry in my beer.
Ring the alarm, 'gainst this villain!!!!!!!!!
:ebil:
I can't have you crying now, so I will refrain from further mentioning that which I should not mention concerning the unmentionable which should not be mentioned.

...when someone says they lack fine and fast motor control what am I supposed to think?
Think MORE! Heh heh. As in, don't assume the worst. Also, don't confuse your assumption with reality...'cause you don't know what the reality of my situation is or is not, right? And there are several members of these forums that have concurred with me. Also, it's recently been said, by more than one taffer, that trying to jump onto ropes and frequently missing has caused frustration. I usually don't have that problem, but I also take my time lining up before a jump.
In addition--and finally--my reaction was based on the fact that you were somewhat rude to another poster today, too. That's why I asked if you were having a bad hair day. It's been my impression you aren't normally like that. I also tried to inject a facetious quality into my posts.:)
----------------------
As for the topic:
I think if someone else is gonna post in this thread, they should say something new instead of--
or in addition to--treading over the same ground. Eh, taffers?:thumb:
If Bethesda were to see this thread, they might not read through all of the throw-away comments to see the gems. And before I make too much of a hypocrite of myself, I'll say again--Don't
Assassinate my
Thief!:cheeky:

That's why I asked for clarification. I think you're being a bit sensitive about this.
There are actually members of this forum that do suffer from a range of medical conditions, some of which make it difficult for them to play games.
And which members concur with you? I don't see it.

Concerning the assassin mode and the lot of features that are some kind of computer-only world...I think TDS Garrett had all he needed to do this, to be honest, I think a real assassin mode would rather include costumes and a long period of acclimatisation to the victim as a person of it's environment...than cool dagger moves or things like that. Furthermore, I think Garrett's climbing abilities were enough, too. It might look cool what Altaïr does (by the way, every Arab will laugh about that pronunciation), but it's far from being real, even with all those free runners included.

Well, there's always a chance. Maybe if BioShock turns out to be a huge success (as it probably will), that would give the developers a signal to try and create more atmospheric, original games instead of EA Ping Pong 2001-2008 etc.
Or they will just think "Mmmm, just imagine how many more people will like it when we do a little
mainstreaming. Let's see. People aren't getting this objectivisim thing, too complicated. What we need is... mutants taking over a military/warehouse installation... nice... and then a plucky female sidekick..." :eww:

You're assuming again. I think maybe you're reading a darker tone into my responses than is really there. I insist it's not like that.:erg: I hope you're not going to assume further that I'm handicapped or something, now. I'm another facet of "normal." Most human beings don't play video games or care to. My friends hated me for being better than them, and they're athletic! Heh! Ironic!

I would have to guess that it's because you either don't read every sentence/post, or focus on particular sentences like you've been doing with me.;)
No more, please.

Im afraid that if they (whoever they are) include the latest trends:
1. "We wanted to make the thief even darker, so we changed the appearance of garret to more up to date look. This includes emo haircut, mascara and more femine body"...
2. ...wich means Garret has now super-physical abilites. He is now capable of jumping roof to roof, featuring dramatic and oh-so-cool and slow but elegant gestures... and the emo hair moving in wind.
3. Katana or fantasy dagger. Every sneaky guy have to have katana or fantasy dagger because it's so cool. "We also made a series of high quality battle ready stainless steel swords for our most dedicated fans".
4. Opening score by Green Day
5. If the player gets lost, you can just activate the interactive map and click for fast travel. How easy is that! The map also features signals for every guard! WOW!
6. And many more interesting features, keep checking your news!

Dude, I just asked. Chill out. It's not an assumption if you actually say that you have issues with certain motor skills. You're acting like it's an awful thing. What is wrong with having a real motor disability? I'm not discriminating here.

Ahh, I see. We've got our wires crossed. You mean people concur with you about the game ideas, I thought you meant people concur with you in saying I jumped to some conclusion.
Anyway, back on topic.
Yup, Oskar Cruo - publishers are certainly prone to that kind of dumbing down/sprucing up. We can hope they don't do it but...
