I loved Dark Corners of the Earth :Call of Cthulhu ..Lets give them a chance.
I wasn't crazu about thief 3 either. I have a friend who loves thief 1 and 2 and I lent him Thief 3 months ago and he has only played a few hours. I don't think he likes it but he dont want to tell me. He is still plowing away at Fan Missions for Thief 2 though.

Ok so half this forum agrees that TDS is the biggest piece of crap ever?
I have to disagree. They brought Thief: Deadly Shadows into this generation of stealth gaming instead of the old school ones you are fans of. I enjoyed Deadly Shadows alot more than Thief 1.
And if they want to snag up Thief and remake one of the games or a sequel let them. If you don't like it DON'T PLAY it. It's annoying to hear this constant bickering.

well I don't think that was very fair. S/he's just voicing an opinion, and not being particularly antagonistic.

I agree. Even if the opinion feels wrong, just saying "bugger off" is not really a good response.
However, saying that we shouldn't complain IS wrong. Complaining, whining, criticism is the way to say our opinions that something is wrong about the game and the possible sequel should be done better. If we just keep quiet, we get crappy games and soon we have tons of crappy games pouring from commercial game industry anus (like it wasn't happening already).
I think T:DS wasn't bad tho.

The last thing we need is a noob coming in and rehashing the same old arguments over again. Especially when they start the post with rubbish like:

Incorrect. We like it, but just not as much as Thief 1 and 2. And (here I frigging go
having to rehash things for the noob you bleeding hearts) Thief 3 has several technical issues that spoil the gameplay. And that is just simple hard coded fact.
Maybe I'm just tired of the internet:(

Sounds like someone needs a near-lethal dose of Metal, stat. :cheeky: Seriously though, this isnt Diablo or WoW, saying "noob" doesnt help your position all that much. Please, use any other term besides "noob", like moron, dumbass, dipstick, not that im saying thats what i think he is, just saying, this is TTLG, some internet slang just doesnt fit. :thumb:
jackass... ok, i had to do it.

Amusing, isnt it. The noobs dont even seem to mind the fact that the difficulty itself is broken. Normal Hard Expert whatever... :thumb:

Bethesda? Cool. I've only played one game of theirs that I didn't enjoy (Star Trek: Legacy) and even that was relatively good for what it was.
Imagine if they were to take their ability to delineate their world with a rich fantasy backdrop with an even semi-decent stealth engine? I mean, just read the small bible that came with the collector's edition of Oblivion - that's detailed stuff. I only regret that I am reading about this now, as if it were to come to pass, at the rate games are being developed currently, it will be another 3 or 4 years before I see Thief 4 on a shelf somewhere. With the Assassin's Creed trilogy on the way, now is the time.
