Purchasing on Steam via PayPal... - by thief0

Hello, have any of you conducted a Steam Purchase via Paypal?
I'm just wondering, when I choose the paypal option, why does it ask for a billing address? Can't it just take the money that I have on my PayPal virtual account, and not mail me anything?
It also asks for my phone number. Am I going to receive a call?
Basically, I what I want to do is purchase a steam game and not let anyone in my household know about it (ie, no mail or phone calls).
Thanks.

I have always used paypal for steam.
I have never received any physical mail or phone calls. (emails only)
I think it might simply be a legal requirement, rather than anything they actually want.

Ditto.

Oh, I see. So I guess it's just formality, then.
Thanks for the info.

That sounds very clandestine. Let's have all the juicy details then

Spending the food budget on games eh? You're an addict! :ebil:

LOL, I have had to do that before. Not the food money, but I spent $100 on games and a couple sticks of RAM a couple months ago (I doubled my RAM...big help, btw) and had to snatch the MasterCard statement and pay it before she saw it. Nerve-wracking week, hovering around the mail box waiting for it...
Never had anyone from Steam call or send letters, though. Nor Paypal for that matter.

When you're hiding your game/computer purchases from your significant other you have a problem. Or they do.

I was exaggerating for effect. She wouldn't really give a big shit...I pay the bill after all. I just didn't want to hear the "Why do you need THAT" bullshit that particular month.

Well, thank God I don't have a significant other.
