Apparently the latest incremental update of Fakefactory's Cinematic Mod pushes the Orange Box build of the Source engine to the max!!!
High poly count + ultra high res texture replacements that turns Eli into Samuel L. Jackson; Alyx into Adriana Lima; and all of the the resistance fighters into middle-aged East-Asian hybrids, despite the game being set in Eastern Europe... HELL YEAH!

The ~5.8 GB v8.0 is required, as are HL2+Ep.1+2 .

V9.5 is a Snapshot-Release. Currently i have reached the source-engine limits in almost all areas. Unfortunately the limits are quite low. The current build of the source engine can't render detailed open areas or nice foliage without hitting this limits.
(Compared to the Cry-Engine: Source engines 100 % entity limit equals approx. 5 % of the Cry-Engine limit)
I'll take a break now, hoping the next engine version will give the possibilities, i need.

Pics are googlable.
By the way, why does every modder in the world seem obsessed with huge lips? And who came up with that emo hairdo? I don't like "new Alyx" at all.

I'd love the new fakefactory if he left the original models the fuck alone. Seriously, look at this

Now I know that says fakefactory 7 but w/e 'cause it hasn't changed much if at all. Her shoulder have this weird dip thing going on with them, her elbows do an s pattern, her boobs looks like they should have their own field of gravity..
Her face is fine in this picture, however. Her clothes are still retarded. HEY LOOKIT ME I'M A TOTAL HOE-BAG!

I like the original Alyx still the most, despite having less polys.

That face is... surreal.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: that Fakefactory guy is a greatly talented craftsman, but he's got little to no taste. Pretty much my feelings about Cyberblutch (or whatever his name was) too. They're like very talented 16-year olds raised on Heavy Metal comics and Maxim magazine.
