I do enjoy playing around with alliteration in writing headlines for letters to the editor when I can. I make a game of it, seeing how many in a given block for the day have alliteration.

Annnd here we are. I finished tonight.
Ice cream was had. The entire copy desk staff (those who were there for the evening, anyway) came by to wish me well, and I was given an A for my internship grade.
Feels good man.

I was supposed to do 100 hours on my internship, did about half of that. Most of my journal was bullshit("I carried some PCs into a building today, well that qualifies as installing and setting up computer systems") and was signed by a guy who wasn't even qualified to do so and who didn't even look beyond the cover of it, with a B.
On the other hand, I did not get any ice cream.

I just got offered a temporary job working at the Enquirer. They need good copy editors to help them through a major transition that starts later this summer, and so they thought of me. The downside is, it's only temporary- ends in August; the upside is, I get paid, I get more experience, I get to wave my dick on my resume and it's a great way to get my career started.
