Well this is sort of cool.
I guess I'd ask what things they were most proud of from their time in LGS -- sort of cliche though.
You could ask them about that time someone referred to "Games made for MIT grads" as an insult (was that Levine & co trying to shield Bioshock from the charge?), which is a pretty transparent knock at LGS**... And maybe ask them what's fair & what's unfair about that kind of criticism for games these days, or just comment on it.
Like it's understandable that games being overly complex for no good reason* isn't the best thing, but watering games down to the most shallow common denominator can't be healthy in the end either.
* LGS games never struck me in that way though; that'd be more like Dwarf Fortress, although that ironically kind of cornered the market in overly-complex games because of the very paranoia out there in making them means there's not that many of them for that niche.
** Edit: I think you all know this, but it's a transparent knock against LGS of course because it was in Boston, half of them actually were MIT grads I think, and somewhere they described the atmosphere of the office as very university like, where people tossed off creative ideas like it was an academic project, not so much a business...

:p:)
It would be interesting to find out, the attendee's, how many of them are familiar with Looking Glass, anyone want to guess? I'm thinking on the low side. We went a couple of years ago, mainly young college guys. Some of which needed a shower..... desperately.

I think that was Warren Specter and I don't think it was meant to be an insult but rather "games made to impress colleagues".

Said the right way it certainly could qualify as an insult, though.

Ask 'em "If LGS were still around, what would they be making now?".
Having all those guys together in one place, I'm guessing the speculation could get interesting
real fast.
Yeah, this is what I'd want to hear as well.

So did anyone actually go to this?

Thanks for posting that. I'm a little over half an hour in and this is seriously amazing.
Edit: That final question was...awkward.
