Question about cut scenes in Thief Gold (FAQ doesn't seem to address this)

Yes, GL can be set to reinstall the codec every time you start an FM or the original game through it. The main problem for Thief videos not playing is windows media player itself, it screws up the codec used in game.

Sorry to report that it did not work. I found the file, and after some lengthy 'unpacking' of itself it went ahead and installed the codecs. The files still won't play during the game.

A little background: This is an HP mediacenter, pentium 4, GB of ram, hyper threading (I already had to go through that little bug with the hyper threading), ATI Radeon graphic card.

... but the combonation of reinstalling those drivers and updating my video card drivers seems to have done the trick.

It now works perfectly!
