Hello all
I have questions about 2 cutscenes,they are:-
1.In the Sword mission cutscene,we see Constantines sword moving towards Viktoria as if it's going to decapitate her.Is this foreshadowing Viktoria's death?.
2.In the cutscene between Ambush! & Eavesdropping when Garret is visiting the Keeeper compound a spider is brushed against, and it explodes?!.Is this spider a Mechanist device spying on the Keepers?.
Thanks for looking.

Not sure about the sword, but the spider seemed to me to be a demonstration of the effects of Karras' rust gas .It didn't explode, it crumbled to dust.

1. I don't believe that was intentional, especially since neither Constantine nor Garrett killed her, and it's stretching it to say Viktoria's suicide is symbolized by the Woodise Lord's manfool weapon cutting off her head. Here's a luminence-value-tweaked frame:

The Prophecy states to beware of the spider who weaves both labyrinth and lair, and yes, when the dead spider is disturbed, it crumbles and the dust and gases in its cracked abdomen release in a foreshadowing of Karras's activated rust-gas weapon and that the spider himself will die.

When the scene was made, the story was that the man was suffering from "Rust Disease" brought on by the Mechanist pollution. Coincidentally or not, the homeless man is perfectly framed around the chest by the ascending rust-coloured Mechanist gear held aloft by the statue while the scenes fade one into the other. This is another enhanced frame to make the gear stand out better.

It is intentional jtr.
Its like the shadow that moves across the wall in Thief 2, cutscene 7. That was totally a foreshadowing of the collapse of Ion Storm.
ITS IN THE GLYPHS MAN SEE IT

Stare at anything long enough and you'll start to see hidden meaning - though that's not to say Thief's cutscenes aren't pretty deep and full of symbolism.
