Arrrgh. Those screen textures aren't from Infinite, they're from (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124592) SHEMP, which thanks to NewDark's ability to re-scale terrain textures, has been incorporated into (
https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=22.0) SHTUP. There is no reason to include them in your mod. If someone wants fancy high-res textures, they'll install SHTUP.
Yes, modifying the freaking motion database is a perfect suggestion for someone who's still learning the basics. :tsktsk:
I'm sorry, of course they are from SHTUP (
edited the post)! And I did not know that the mod "can" replace the screens and thought you/the modder had to do it by hand...well at least I could learn some basics in the editor that way.
Instead of fiddling with the motions, I found a carpet floor object, and just place it under the chairs + cropping the floor, not the nicest way but it will do for now! Cheers for your help guys!

ZB we're here to help the new guys and encourage them, not slam them for posting something even if its wrong without consulting you first.

If a single "Arrrgh." counts as slamming in your book, you have led a very dainty, sheltered existence.

In the original version of Dark, that's true. If you're using NewDark, it's no longer true.

Another lesson learned! Thank you and No worries, I was not offended, or put off by any comments made here, in the end, it was I who mixed the mods up and asked the silly questions! :cheeky:

Make the floor under the AI out of non-AI-colliding objects?
I haven't tried that, but as the others said, when playing these sitting motions, the AI float above the floor regardless of whether there's a chair under them or not. However lowering the actual floor and putting a floor decal under the chair might actually work. I'm not going to go back and retrofit my current mission, though.

Too right you're not! You've got other fish to fry.
AntiMatter_16 on 12/1/2016 at 22:47
One trick I've used for sitting AIs is making the chair the AI will sit on not collide with AIs. Then I add an invisible platform I can raise/lower that AIs do collide with to adjust the height they sit at.
LarryG on 12/1/2016 at 23:42
Why not just adjust the physics of the chair? That should work without any extra objects.
Lokisan on 20/1/2016 at 10:52
Already did the non colliding chair thing, but the platform is another option worth checking out, sometime! Atm I lowered the floor just underneath them, that's enough for now. :-)
