I was wondering if you could do that (and any particular personal examples)
in any one of the three games.
Clarify, please.:)

How exactly does flare-elevatoring work?

Wait. Has anybody ever made a video?
This has been explained in words so many times, but it's different in action.

I found a link to the instructions for elevatoring (and other good stuff) from the forums. Can't remember exactly where, though.

I typed "flare elevatoring" into the Search function and found Luthien's thread at the bottom of the list.

I have done many of these also. But rope arrows don't stick into anything just because it is wooden. I have shot arrows into some wood on buildings, like a wooden window shutter for instance. I have found many shutters where the arrow just disappears. Boy, was I disappointed. There are also many pieces of wood in building frames that won't take an arrow. But I have also stuck rope arrows into things that don't make sense. For instance, in T1, in the mage's library, you can stick arrows into books on the shelves. I wonder if the book was War and Peace on a cramped shelf. :)
I have mantled up on railings and other narrow objects that we weren't intended to climb. As you probably know, if the top surface is too thin, you can't mantle. Many times, when the game wouldn't allow me to climb there, I have fooled the game by turning at an approximate 45 degree angle, and then mantling. The game then thinks that the surface is wide enough, because it sees more surface area.

A fun glitch to do is in THC. (I believe I read about this one on these forms, can't remember where though.)
At the window where the Eye talks to you, you leave forward into it, turn around, then jump. You will swing into the cathedral on a cozy 1/2 inch bar of wood on the wall. From this point you can kill the enemies, but you can grab the eye and all the doors open to wall.
