I searched and found references to, but not explanations of why, zombies explode. I also don't know which is worse: Posting a previously discussed topic or performing Necromancy, cause those threads were years old.
In RTC I fire arrowed a zombie and its arm (or something) thwacked me and I died! (expert difficulty). This has also occured when I used holy water so I know its not because I'm too close to the fire arrow. This has happened from a considerable distance - Zombie is at St. Jen's door, I'm at the broken stairs door. Is this supposed to happen or is my game bugged?

Because Looking Glass wanted them to explode. Exploding zombies are cool.
This concludes the rational, non-blathering-fanfic portion of the thread.

Indeed.
Your game is not bugged. Zombies explode with some force (which happens to be called ZomKaboom), and the flying parts all have the ability to do bash damage. If you're low on health and one hits you at close enough range (or square in the forehead) you can die, it's happened to me too.

Just brush off the stigma of guilt, someone'll bitch either way.

Eh, I've thought as a bit more of a dismemberment than an actual explosion. It's probably supposed to be a little of both. That concludes Captain Obvious' section of this thread. Read books.

"fancy______meeting_"? What the flarn does that mean?
Gingerbread Man on 5/5/2007 at 22:39
Also what the hell is flarn?
dlw6 on 6/5/2007 at 02:14
Flarn is a Mimbari food from the Babylon 5 TV series. It is green, but otherwise looks like tofu. It may also taste like tofu, as it is eaten with a lot of salt.
