Hi,
So basically I'm confused about Thief's timeline, and I have a few questions.
I know Thief takes place in a fantasy setting (duh), but what age of our world does it resemble most?
For my new FM, which is supposed to take place about 100 years after my first FM, I was also wondering what year it should be in the mission, because I'd like to mention this in the beginning of my mission. However, I looked up the timeline of the Thief universe, and I'm confused about the numbers. For example, ~xw8?-84 is 50 years prior to the events of TDP. And year x34 is when the events of TDP begin.
Say I want to have my mission 90 years after the events of TMA, what year +/-would this be?
Thank you in advance :)

The Thief games are set in a medieval steampunk fantasy world which seems to be inspired by medieval English history. I'm not sure if the Thief games use the current calendar. Thief 4 explicitly doesn't use the current calendar, but some fans think it isn't canon, so be cautious while using dates from it.
Just say, "90 years after the fall of the Mechanists" or "100 years later" and make everything else up.

Thank you :) That clarifies some things.
It definitely helps understanding it a bit better.
