I do not see anything special in graphic here. Same thing for gameplay, no one is trying to say something new to us. Just an ordinary ride 'n' shoot crap.
But I hope for the best. If the game is not a revolution, then at least Bethesda can get a new engine and adequate programmers.

What?

Which part is not clear for you? Bethesda always had terrible programmers, starting from Arena and to Fallout Vegas (where there is still no shadows). Now, under Bethesda wing you can see the company which consist of the best programmers. The conclusions suggest themselves.

Just thought I'd let you guys know I'm busy grinding my massive axe about some obscure age old grudge I have against Bethesda.
I e-mailed them about a bug in Terminator Future Shock in 1994 and I've heard nothing since.
Seriously, what is the world coming to

No. As 242 has just magnanimously revealed to us, their engine is garbage and their programmers are fools, so you'd better prepare for the worst.

You must have a hyperactive imagination, because I didn't say that. Their engines aren't garbage and their programmers aren't garbage consequently. But my opinion about their
games is that they are garbage, well, almost. The last worthy game of id software was the first Quake.
PS: id is about technics too much and not nearly enough about art. They simply aren't artists in a broad sense of the word.

goddamn, 242, do you have any idea how pretentious that sounds

Well, no. It's just that my liking or disliking of a game developer isn't based on amount of hype they create, production values, or their technical achievements, but purely on gameplay of their titles. The comment about Rage's graphics doesn't mean that I'm positive the game itself will be trash, I only suspect that.
